Dave Schroeder, MS, MA, CISSP, CEH is a technologist and strategist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a UW Expert and part of the UW Speakers Bureau (Badger Talks), and serves as the Research Director for the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium (WSRC) and Wisconsin Information Security Center (WISC).
As Associate Director for Intelligence and Security Initiatives in the College of Letters & Science, he works to enable and advance initiatives on national security research and collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). He acts as the mission liaison for the Intelligence and Security University Research Enterprise (INSURE).
Schroeder serves as a Cyber Warfare Officer, Signal Officer, and Intelligence Officer in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, and previously served as an Information Warfare Officer, Cryptologic Warfare Officer, and Space Cadre in the U.S. Navy. His expertise includes cyberspace operations (CO), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and information operations (IO).
Schroeder is also currently a researcher in the Cyber Defense (PhD) program at the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Dakota State University, a National Security Agency National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, Cyber Operations, and Cyber Research.
He holds degrees in Cybersecurity Policy (MS), Information Warfare (MA), and Information Operations (BA), a graduate certificate in Space Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School, is a graduate of the Naval War College and the Joint Forces Staff College, and is an Apple Distinguished Educator.
